STRIATIONS
LARGE PAINTINGS
Parallel channels moving horizontally have become the fundamental conveyance of exploration in the Striation series. By limiting conjecture and removing variables, the opportunities that arise become more specific and provide a direction for investigation. The striations are created methodically with small dots that change or are affected by the surfaces and the forms they pass over. Transparency and opacity, reverse unexpectedly, as do textured and smooth surfaces. These inexact paintings present no specific resolution or isolation of meaning. They are constructed spaces generated through thought and revised though feeling.
